Dates and Deadlines
Frostburg State looks for students prepared to join in the life of an intellectual community. Our admission counselors review each application carefully, considering your academic background, life experiences, and interests. You should plan to submit your application and materials based on your chosen decision timeline.
Unsure of what each decision option means? Here is a quick primer:
- Early Action: Early Action allows you to receive your admission decision in 2-4 weeks. If you are admitted to Frostburg State under this option, it is not required that you attend
- Regular Decision: This follows all of the deadlines and requirements you might expect—no additional application materials or earlier deadline considerations necessary.
- Spring Semester: Students can apply to the spring semester as a first-time first-year student or as a transfer student.
- Re-entry: Students who were previously admitted and attended Frostburg State but did not earn a degree and have been absent for one semester or more, can submit an application for readmission. If a student has attended another university, official transcripts are required.
- Non-Degree: Students who would like to take undergraduate courses but do not plan to get a degree from Frostburg State can apply as a non-degree special student.
Application Deadlines
We accept applications on a regular basis, starting on August 1 and continuing until there is no further space for students. Applications from first-year students who would like to begin in the spring semester are granted on a space-available basis.
